Client Obligations
1、 Provide truthful information
You have an obligation to ensure that all documents and information submitted during the application, review, and certificate validity period (such as ingredient lists, process flow diagrams, raw material halal certificates, supplier lists, etc.) are true, accurate, and complete. Providing any false or misleading information will be considered a serious violation.
2、 Allow and cooperate with the review
You must allow and fully cooperate with the certification body in conducting document reviews and on-site audits (including initial, supervisory, and surprise audits). This includes:
Provide all necessary records for auditing and access to all relevant areas.
Arrange relevant personnel to undergo interviews.
3、 Timely notification of relevant changes
After obtaining certification, if there are any changes that may affect the halal status of the product, you must immediately notify the certification body in writing. The main types of changes include:
Product ingredient or formula changes: According to Indonesian regulations, certificates must be updated after changing ingredients.
Changes in production materials or key suppliers: Applications and documents must be resubmitted according to the certification body's procedures.
Changes in production processes, equipment, or locations.
Unauthorized changes without reporting are equivalent to using an invalid certificate.
4、 Consequences of Violation and Legal Liability
Failure to fulfill the above obligations will result in serious consequences, and the certification body will take punitive measures in accordance with the law and regulations:
Suspension and revocation of certificates: This is the most direct punishment.
Product withdrawal from the market: After the certificate is revoked, the relevant products must immediately stop using the Halal logo and be withdrawn from market circulation.
Legal and financial penalties: According to local laws, violations may face high fines or even criminal penalties.
Reputation damage: Violations are usually announced by regulatory agencies, causing long-term negative impacts on brand reputation.

Please understand that Halal certification is not just a certificate, but also a compliance system and solemn commitment that needs to be continuously maintained. The core lies in "integrity" and "transparency": integrity is the cornerstone of providing truthful information, while transparency is reflected in actively communicating all changes and cooperating with audits. Any concealment or violation will undermine the foundation of certification and bring serious legal and commercial consequences.
Notice for Certificate Renewal and Reassessment Application
To ensure continuous validity of your certificate, you are required to contact 中亿兰CHCS for reassessment and renewal service at least 60 days prior to the expiry date of the existing certificate (i.e., more than 60 days in advance).
If you fail to submit your application within the required timeline, and as a result your certificate expires—leading to the inability to export to Indonesia or other mutual recognition countries, or causing economic losses, customs clearance issues, or any other consequences—中亿兰CHCS shall not assume any legal liability.
All applicants are strongly advised to plan ahead and complete the renewal process on time to avoid disruption to your business operations.
